PMIG Inc. Launches Global Training Partnership with Zenith Learning LLC
Georgetown, Guyana — The Project Management Institute of Guyana (PMIG) is proud to announce a significant new partnership that will bring world-class, internationally accredited professional training directly to the region. Through a strategic alliance with PMIG Inc., Zenith Learning LLC (ZLLLC), a U.S.-based education consultancy, will now deliver internationally recognized certification programs on behalf of the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB).
PECB is a global leader in ISO training and certification, accredited by ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Board) and other international bodies to develop and deliver courses in compliance with a wide range of ISO standards. Their certifications are recognized in over 150 countries and cover areas including Project Management, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Health and Safety, Business Continuity, and more.
Under this partnership, ZLLLC supported by PMIG Inc. will serve as the regional facilitator for PECB training programs, offering Guyanese and Caribbean professionals access to premium certification pathways that align with international best practices. Courses will be available online, in-person, or through hybrid models, making them accessible to working professionals and corporate teams.

This structure ensures that the training remains grounded in the needs and realities of regional professionals while meeting the rigorous quality standards of global certification bodies, such as PECB. PMIG Successfully Delivers Capacity Building Seminars for CBOs Across Guyana
Georgetown & New Amsterdam, Guyana – February 2024
The Project Management Institute of Guyana (PMIG) Inc. is proud to announce the successful completion of two Enhanced Economic Development and Participation (EEPD) Capacity Building Training Seminars, hosted in partnership with the International Decade for People of African Descent - Guyana (IDPADA-G). Held on January 24–25 in Georgetown and January 31–February 1 in New Amsterdam, the seminars trained a total of 74 participants from various Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), with 71 receiving certificates of participation.
Facilitated by Hubert Robertson, PMP, PMIRMP, on behalf of PMIG Inc., the two-day seminars focused on Governance, Business Management, Financial Literacy, and Project Proposal Development, particularly for CBOs engaged in agribusiness. Training was informed by a comprehensive needs assessment and aligned with IDPADA-G's mandate to empower African Guyanese communities through capacity development.
A mix of interactive methods—including case studies, skits, group exercises, and participatory presentations—ensured active engagement and practical learning. Participants responded enthusiastically, with many praising the course content, facilitator delivery, and the practical usefulness of the training.

PMIG Inc continues to roll out its professional staff accreditation upgrade strategy.
The Project Management Institute of Guyana Inc. is pleased to announce that it now has a PECB ISO Certified Project Manager within its human resources professional base. Hubert Robertson was awarded the title of PECB Certified ISO 21502 Senior Lead Project Manager, having met all the certification requirements, including all examination requirements, professional experience, and adoption of the PECB Code of Ethics. While congratulations are in order, this building up of globally accredited professional, skill-sets is part of a deliberate organizational strategy and work program that aims to ensure that PMIG Inc. can produce quality deliverables for its clients. Several other key team members have also embarked, with support from this institution, on accredited professional upgrades. 21st October, 2022.
Instructor-Led, Online Training for improved Technical Competencies
In response to the Covid-19 situation facing Guyana and the world, businesses in general, and training agencies in particular, have had to find new ways of doing things. PMIG Inc. continues to improve technologically in order to reach its clients for training and consultancy services. PMIG has been conducting a series of training courses via online media. These highly acclaimed courses include:
Certificate Course in "Essential Bidding Competencies for Small Contractors."
This course has been sponsored by the International Decade for People of African Descent-Guyana (IDPADA-G).
This training course is aimed at skilled and experienced tradesmen and professionals, potential and practicing small contractors, recently graduated technicians or those who are working with other contractors (sub-contracting) but have not been able to secure small contracts of their own. The training is designed to provide participants with the requisite information, concepts, and guidelines; and to sharpen and develop the essential skills and competencies for preparing bids, and winning those contracts.
Several of these five-week, instructor-led, online courses were conducted years 2021, and 2022.
Certificate Course in "Strategic Planning for Organizational Development"
This course is aimed at persons who are in leadership positions within Community-Based Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, Charities, and Religious Organizations. The training is designed to provide participants with the requisite information, concepts, and techniques; and to sharpen and develop the essential skills and competencies for conceptualizing, facilitating, and formulating Strategic Plans of particular relevance to their organizations.
